I’m writing because we need your help to make LRCP’s Spring Hunt Test a success!
The LRCP Spring Hunt Test will be held May 23-24th at Rover’s Content, a gorgeous venue located in Brandywine, MD. We provide training for all jobs, lunch from the best food truck around and great camaraderie. Many consider this an awesome learning experience in handling and training their own dogs too, so if you have not volunteered at a hunt test before, please do so!
This event is comprised of a single Master test, double Senior tests, and double Junior tests. That’s a total of five (5) tests in a single weekend.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT DURING THE EVENT TO HELP and YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT THE WHOLE WEEKEND TO HELP!!
We need help to set up on Friday afternoon and to execute this event from morning to late afternoon on Saturday and Sunday.
Below is a list of jobs that need to be performed along with a brief description:

Line Steward – takes birds from judges and places in dryer rack – makes sure workers in fields have birds and whatever else they need – go-fer for judges – runs birds/etc. out to stations.
Flyer Shooter – must be a good shot – you will be in the spotlight.
Bird Station Solo – able to load/operate winger, blow duck call and fire an air gun.
Bird Station w/ someone – assist w/ above.
Blind Planter – plant blind when told by judges.
Setup/Break Down – Setup on Friday afternoon and breakdown on Sunday afternoon.
Hospitality – grocery shopping for drinks, snacks and ice and deliver to venue on Friday; pickup catered food for Friday PM judges dinner and deliver to venue; welcome & direct participants in the morning on Saturday and Sunday; coordinate meals/drinks and their delivery to judges and volunteers on Saturday and Sunday; fill coolers, etc.
Raffle – assist in obtaining donations for the raffle; sell raffle tickets during the event; coordinate drawing of raffle.
