Hunt Tests
Hunt tests are designed to show that our dogs have the desire to retrieve birds in actual hunting scenarios.
These are fun, family-oriented outdoor events. And everyone can cheer for all the dogs because they’re not competing against each other. Instead, the dogs are judged against a standard of performance and given an overall pass or fail score.
Hunt tests provide another reason to spend time with your dog – both during training and while participating in a hunt test. It’s wonderful to see a Lab’s eyes light up as he retrieves his first bird. It’s as if he knows it’s part of his heritage.
